Dr. Deanna Dwenger
Dr. Deanna Dwenger was raised in Chickasaw, OH. She obtained her Bachelor Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She then obtained her Psychology Doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois in 2013. Dr Dwenger currently serves as the Director of Mental Health for Wexford of Indiana, Indiana Department of Corrections.
Dr. Dwenger is the Associate Regional IPAS and Special needs Population Director for the Indiana Department of Corrections. In this role, she helps to ensure those who suffer from mental illness within the Department of Corrections are appropriately cared for. She also assists in the implementation of the IPAS settlement set forth by the ACLU.
She previously served as the Associate Regional IPAS and Special Needs Population Director before receiving the promotion to Director. She has previously served as the Lead Psychologist of New Castle Correctional facility and did her internship at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in the Federal Max prison in Terre Haute, IN.
Dr. Deanna met her husband, Dr. Joe, while finishing school in Chicago as she was finishing up her schooling at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. They were married in the spring of 2014 in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. They have two beautiful children who they smother with love as often as they can!
